Its that time of year when scots and yorkshiremen start to consider putting the heating on. This year ive had to wimp out and flick the central heating on, couldnt stand it any longer so apologies to my fellow tykes and hope in your hearts you can forgive me for bringing gods own county into disrepute. I'd waited as long as i could but its only 8 degrees inside chez hinchliffe, Its been a difficult two weeks which has seen me knelt at the side of the bed, not praying but aiming my hot air paint stripping gun under the quilt to make the pit warm enough to get into.
