There's an HGV stuck in a narrow lane below the village, needs a tow to get him out.
Have we a tractor that could give him a tug?
Always happy to help the boys in blue and anyone in trouble.
But tractors use red diesel, it's illegal to use them for anything unconnected with agriculture. There's a limited exemption for tractors equipped for snow clearance.
Technically the police officer was inciting us to break the law and any such use of agricultural machinery would not be covered by insurance.
