Chris,
that's a good project to have in mind.
I think Guy Moerenhout does the panels?
Over the last couple of years X19's seem to have gone up in value (or asking price at least.....), according to what's listed on ebay.

Probably cheaper to buy one that's been done already and improve gradually? Polish one does look very good!
I think this one won't be rusty?
Blue X1/9
That one has been on the market a while now Chris. Whilst it's probably the best out there I suspect that once it's on the road again it's going to show lots of faults caused by perished rubber hoses, suspension components and brake seals….
Plus it would be a shame to convert it!
Guy
I wasn't serious about that one Guy.
It doesn't want touching, that one?
Something in the £1500 bracket would probably be best. Not a basket case, but not too good either.
Never seen one in green before, I like it. Here's a picture I took a few years ago of one of the three local replicas. I'll see if I can find out where they got their body kits from and take a few more pictures. The annual meet that this was taken at was is in a couple of weeks. I'm amazed at how quick these are, I think they're my second favourite wedge!
More pictures here. http://www.flickr.com/photos/warwickrobinson/sets/. Look for the Skope Classic sets, even a Mclaren can am car!
