Re: My car of 30 years

Times have changed, kit qualities have vastly improved. my choice today would be a kit that was easy to build, replicated enough areas to look the part, all the parts were available and didn't need a huge amount of fabrication and fibreglass work. The people who are real Stratos enthusiasts and know every last little detail will probably already have a kit of whichever type and made it into an almost perfect replica. The others coming along now are not really interested in every minute detail and want to purchase something close but with more modern, reliable parts. Sales over the last few years tell the real story.
Generally it's not a good idea to shout how good a product is before one makes something, the original post is rather cringeworthy and smacks of desperation. I'm puzzled what all this Rubydisregard bit is? Is it a humorous tale??, completely lost on me.
