Not sure if this subject has been covered before. Is there a reason for not using bolts for securing the wheels on a Strat?

It's never easy lining up the bolt pattern on the wheel to the hub with a heavy wheel Allen, studs are easier to work with. I always make sure that the handbrake (or footbrake) is applied to stop the hubs rotating whilst you fit a wheel. The rears are a real handful!

I am agree with Chris and Guy,
it's easier to mount the rim,
and if the studs are longer you can use spacer without change the bolt.
Bah...mine are bolts....and being a YorkshireMAN I just put the wheel on with one hand and put the bolts in with the other.....![]()

Thanks All, The replies make sense. The reason for the question is I'm looking for a pair of second hand 10" rims for the rear and a PCD adapter maybe an option to widen the market.
