Hi David, nice story and i hope you have found all the parts!
here some pictures from the car by side you! Original number plate NO 318107
nice to see it's finished.
I just got back from Germany where i made a quick dash to visit Autohaus Sparwald to get some parts for the Safari car.
Udo kitted me out with quite a few parts that i needed, then took me out in his GrIV Bellosta Stratos, stopped it, and said "OK, now you drive". What a shock !
So we headed off into France, my first time at the wheel of any Stratos, let alone a GrIV car. An awesome experience.
What amazed me was how close the handling felt to Kermit, my Hawk - all credit to Gerry for getting it right.
It would be interesting to get behind the wheel of a LB to see what that feels like.
The only downer was that i got de-frocked of my Alitalia jacket in lieu of a little discount !
A big thanks to Udo for his help with my missing parts.
David
