I think I might have one sitting on a shelf ... it's not the "hot wire" one, but the older square section swinging vane type. Right one?

It's yours for the cost of postage and a pack of chocolate biscuits

I can't certify that it works as I can't remember the provenance of it. It didn't come from my donor car (which was a 166 not a 164).

If you're happy to take the risk then PM me your address, I'll arrange postage and let you know when it's on its way and what it cost (plus biscuits ).

    OK?

    Re: Air flow meter

A bad AFM was once the source of my problems. I attempted to substitute the early 12V 164QV AFM, which was never quite right. As far as I know, the only substitute is the 944 turbo that used the very same Bosch part number.

I've gone from a 12v to a 12v Cloverleaf. A year or two between models but the AFMs looked the same with the same 5 wire connector. Needless to say th rewiring order was different and I think the 'leaf only used 4 wires.... Best to get the loom from the same car as the motor. And the right wiring diagrams!
