Paint colour of Spyder chassis

I've seen photos of this car:

with a grey coloured chassis and no removable bar at the back of the engine cradle.
I think it was post Beta wishbones though?

That car is the original Transformer prototype/demo car and its chassis was painted grey unlike the first production cars which were black. Since being sold to Germany it has had a few mods/updates! Originally the engine/trans were mounted on the donor(beta) subframe and was fitted from underneath, so the car didn't need the rear bar to be removable.
