    Its obviously a personal thing - I would never try to put my helmet on once in the car, I find it much easier to put the helmet on before getting in!

    There is an exemption for historic vehicles, but probably not the Stratos....

    Here the USA, all drivers and co-drivers wear HANS devices, regardless of what class they race, that includes historic class.

    We tried the HANS device on at Castle Combe John said it wAs very restricted in movement,I was unable to get any of it off without getting out of the car, since then we have tried the simpson one but not in the car , which seemed to fit a lot better, we have to get. This sorted out soon if we are going to be attending the North West Stages
