Had to go in the shed to get something and the body was right in front of me = It looks identical apart from maybe having a larger return spring.
Solex made in France - Part No 195320806200 will take take snaps later - gotta go.

That looks very much like the 12V unit - I am just off out for the day but tomorrow I will get it out of the box and see if there are any numbers on it - I think these are also similar/The same as the 2.0L twin spark unit - but it has been a while since I played with those.
If you can add a couple more pictures, top and side plus any numbers I can compare with the one I have. As it owes me nothing that's all I want Chances are the shaft is the same even if the castings have differences.

Am I getting warmer?
The significant difference between 12v and 24v cable operated versions is that the 12v has a throttle switch, the 24v a pot. Unless you are using an OEM 12v ECU I'd guess you'd want a pot, not a switch. You can retro-fit a pot, but it's messy.
think the 24v body is a bit bigger too iirc?
12V one I have looks pretty much the same some differences being Solex and not Dellorto, same Bosch throttle pot - no switch to be seen - Size wise the bore at the spindle is 70mm. looks like Paul will be sorted with a 24V one so this can go back in the shed.
The one above looks to have a switch and the pot - no switch on mine.

switch looks just like a pot and in the same place. If anybody needs a pot, I have a stock of used weber pf09's, 20 quid each plus post to club members.
Just remembered, some of the later cars had a pot. My 155 V6 had a later ECU than the 164 and of course there are other engines out there of the same vintage with a pot on a 12v.
In other words, I was talking bollocks! For some reason, had 164s stuck in my head, not V6 engines in general. Apologies.
If it clicks when you open the throttle, it's the switch type is probably the easiest way to tell quickly.

Chris - what I have looks similar to the photo you posted, but it is made by Weber and does have a pot. Now that I'd a bit of time at the weekend, I've been looking more closely at the damaged shaft and will try and rethread it today. It was M8, so I'll see if I can get an M7 thread on there. It's a bit tricky to center the die because the shaft is not circular - it has a flat on each side, but with a bit of care (unlike first time round when I damaged it), hopefully I can rescue it. Will update later
Paul
