    Navigators Footrest

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get an ally footrest manufactured? 5 or 6mm plate, 10 inches by 11 inches with 15 rows by 16 columns of 8mm holes?

Just had a nightmare cutting a plate down by hand, squaring it off, marking and centre punching over 240 points (ears still ringing) and then the fecking drill goes off centre on the first hole. Had enough of that lark.

Not cheap as a one off. Cant you just make the holes bigger, say 10mm and redrill the fubar? Personally, id make the holes a bit bigger and have less, at 8mm, you may have trouble with your stiletto's getting stuck, 20mm you can retrieve them easier.
how about having it maybe laser cut or flowjet? 240 holes would take forever.

Thanks for the suggestion John. Thinking about having it welded up, smoothed off and paint the fecking holes on instead. Not in a happy place right now as you might have guessed.

Do you know anywhere that could quote? I'm guessing it won't be cheap....

Leave it plain, go to your local skateboard shop or look on ebay for some grip tape.

try a local machine shop or abrasive jet cutter. Have you got autocad? draw it up, send them the file and they'll cut it. sure somebody on here could draw it and email you the file if you cant do it yourself. You could try Craig? I made one from ally, hinged at the bottom so it tips back. On the back of it is an ally pouch which has the toolkit in. Handy little space.

Thanks John, I'll look around, don't have auto cad or know how to use it but I'm sure I could download a simple free version and have a play!

Thanks Paul but looking for something more original. John won't be surprised. Tried downloading an AutoCad, it didn't work on the Mac, just gave me a new homepage for a while, I'll draw it on Excel with instructions and see if I can fire it off to anyone.....
