Just for information
they advise to be an alternative for ALPINE ; yes they are and I checked twice on various renault and Alpine forum
The alpine instruments where originally Veglia Borletti and then Jaeger but senders whre absolutly the same ! so now these remanufactuerd ( good quality senders are compatible and giving good OHMS informations
Hope this helps
I'm pretty sure this is the one I used and works with my Veglia gauge Craig.

Ouuuuuuupppppppppppppppppps ?
Are you sure ROB ????
I read this morning on those Renault Alpine Forums that Smith senders where not adequate for all type of Veglia instruments and some
members where complaining about the wrong scale obtained with????
Hi Craig,
I used these two when I put my V6 in last year and read correctly with the Veglia Borletti gauges.

Or, Superformance:

Approaching the end of my rebuild, I'm starting to identify the little glitches that need fixing. I am now finding that I have a mismatch between the coolant temperature sender and the Veglia Borletti coolant temp gauge.
As a result the gauge is telling porkies!!You can see from the attached image, taken when the car had been in the garage overnight, and the engine was completely cold, that I have half scale deflection on the gauge. Once the engine has been running a little while the gauge goes to full scale deflection.
I haven’t had the chance to check the engine temp with an infrared tester yet, but the digital water pump is indicating a coolant temp of 85 degrees, and my oil temp gauge displays a similar value as well.

the gauge master Mk. III appears to be a sensible answer, has anybody got experience or views as to its use? or a cheaper, more simple solution?
