Agree entirely. I had an interesting contact with an Italian who guested a Fulvia meeting I attended recently in Cuneo. He has 3 real Strato'sss and heard I had a Strato's and was actually perfectly fine when I told him it was a replica. When I showed him a few pics he said he didnt understand why it wasnt a replica colour (my car is a special paint job of 3 shades of grey). When I advised him that as a replica I am not trying to pass off an original but making the car to my own tastes(actually an earlier owner did this) he fully understood, and we spent a happy hour or so looking at his Strato'sss. Green Stradale, and 2 Gp4's developed for rally cross which is his addiction.

When I took my car to the Lancia Motor Club AGM last weekend even the president remarked on what nice example it was, when in truth the only Lancia bit is the handbrake lever and the badge on the from....And when I stopped for petrol near Corby a group of drifters (Mitso Evo's etc) where resting up after a track day at Rockingham came over with the cameras....

We have a duty to be out there as all the real ones are in Museums
