    Weight of Rolling Chassis?

I'm wondering if anyone might know what a "roller" or chassis might weigh without the engine, exhaust and transmission. I know complete cars weigh approximately 1000kg, but don't know what a Lister Bell or Hawk replica might weigh just as the complete chassis.

I ask as I'm considering building a very fast electric car and weight is a real concern. I love the look of the kits I've seen here and am hoping to learn if a Stratos replica is the kit I should build with!

You can consider that an Alfa engine plus gearbox is more or less 190 /200 kg ( with starter motor ,alternator , Ac pump etc) , Fuel tank and pumps probably 10/12 kgs , exhaust system 20/25 kgs ( to be confirmed)

This is great information - THANK YOU! So many kits I look at list "optimistic" weight values, but they always include all the ICE (internal combustion engine) parts so it makes it difficult to determine where I'd start out with my build.

Do you have yet some drawings of what have to be installed as motor , trasmission , Battery etc to run electric ?

Well, I haven't begun working on anything in particular for a Stratos, but I can share some of the drawings we did when preparing my Porsche...

Of course, the build for the Stratos would entail a different setup, a different battery type along with different components selected for the specific task at hand along with the available space in the chassis. I would have to get my hands on some CAD designs or a car before I could select my actual components.

Here are some photos of the Porsche as to how it finished out:
