Nope - self inflicted Norm.
It was following a trip into the gravel at Donington. Whilst cleaning gravel out of the car I managed to cut my hand. I then somehow bled onto the exhaust manifold in the engine bay.....

It's not proper DIY unless there's blood.
or is it just me?
I remember him well....horrendous!! (but very funny)
New exhaust now made up and on the car. Its been one of the jobs i have looked forward to. I have bought a tig welder for doing stainless at work. i am not the best but as its wrapped it will be good enough. I have done it in 52mm pipe which i can get left over bends from work and Craig's silencers . The best bit now is its so easy to take on and off. the old system was a right pain. The down side is that its quite loud. I have some small cats that might fit in the silencers ( Not Kittens), so not sure if this will help.
I shall wait till next month when the car is taxed and a full road test can be done.
No animals harmed in this rely
That looks great, and I like the silencers!
Re exhaust wrap, I was always warned - and found in practice - it can harbour moisture/cause rust on the manifolds?
