    Smoke generator for leak detection

Has anybody used one? I seem to have a leak on the intake side of my RX8 project which I can't locate. Are they worth buying?

There are inexpensive ones on the market now. I haven't tried those yet..... but smoke machines are very helpful in finding leaks from the intake, exhaust and fuel(evap) systems!

I've made one that works, I just haven't had time to use it on the engine.
    Ingredients:
1 new paint tin, heater element from a 12v hairdryer, some glassfibre cloth, a tyre inflator, a pressure regulator from a butane gas fire, various bits of tubing and some old connectors.

    I will report back!
