Got there yesterday, but my wife had surgery last Monday and "bunking off" for Sat and Sun will not be the right thing to do

You're right....unless you too fancy a spot of surgery...

    Hope she recovers quickly!

Good day today, thanks to Ken for organizing the club tickets and allowing us to use the shade at lunch time.

    Few pictures.

Not a great turnout on the SEC stand, enough to interest the passing public.

Wouldn't like to begin to think of the total value of cars at Silverstone today, must be in the billions..

    3 million here

Re: Silverstone Classic 20-21-22 July 2018

Had a great day out on Sunday at the Silverstone Classic as usual............................this show never disappoints. There is always so much to do, spent a lot of time down at the International Pits talking to some of the mechanics working on various cars and looking at the engineering on the race cars both old and newer. Unfortunately got into the show through the R8 Owners Club as my Strato's is still not finished...... Great to catch up with the faithful on the Club Stand, Ken, Paul & David, disappointed to see only 2 cars on the club stand on Sunday............................what has happened to the days when there used to be 15+ cars on the stand ????

Maybe as a club there should be more incentive's to get owners there with their cars, the Silverstone Classic and Stoneleigh used to be the major events of the year.

'Saw this UK reg. Stradale up at the wing on Sunday morning.
This car has been in at least 2 old magazine articles in the past.
CCC January 1987 (with Marlboro livery), then back to plain red in Thoroughbred and Classic Car December 1999. See here:https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Thoroughb...IAAOSw3KFWeZDp
The reg. no. was always FYF 821V, but now is FTM 569L. It is the same car though. The details are all there. Enamel front badge, unique reverse lamp arrangement, 2 original left side door mirrors etc. The car is (or was) owned by Chris Wilson.

    Yes, that one.
