    Allora for sale in France

I came across this link https://www.classic-racing-annonces....eplica-allora/ it would appear to have started life as an Allora the rear chassis is the give away, however it would appear the front part of the chassis has been altered with the addition of round tube and reworked suspension all round . The asking price is 50,000 euro.

    Any body Know its history?

    David

It's THIS one David, if you look through the gallery in the first post you will see all the mods they made which are substantial.
It's an Allora chassis (heavily modified), CAE generation bodywork (heavily modified), Hawk suspension & wheels, LB steering rack & David Evans original LB exhaust. I think the project ground to a halt when they purchased David's LB which is a shame because they had done so much and spent so much time on the car.
I'm not sure what the front geometry will be like with the mixing of Hawk suspension & the LB rack, I notice that there are no tie rods connected so bump steer could be an issue.
50k Euro for an unfinished kit could be a bit steep?

Yep, it's the Belgium Allora, ex fire damage.

    You're right...

The belgian owner ( former motorbike belgium champion and rally driver ) purchased the car in bad condition after fire damage and started the rebuild in 2010 but never finished it

He entried the ex David LB at Vosges Festival this last Summer!
Now he would like to sell as one unfinished project at 50k€

Here a few more pictures of the car in rebuild progress

It was purchased in the fire damaged state off a friend of mine, I went and originally helped him collect it from I think it was Norfolk.
When the current owner collected it from the UK he also collected a new body from either Napier or Litton but I'm not sure.
My friend was contacted later by the buyer as they were having issues with its ID.

The body was supplied through John D on here, it was a set that was made by a CAE customer at a time when neither Litton, CAE or Napier were trading. In brief there was a Corse kit under construction when CAE ceased trading, because they ceased trading rather than going bust Hugh Carson was able to loan the moulds out to said customer who then made his own body set. In reality he had enough materials to make two sets & that is what he did. The set that went to Belgium was the first (attempt) set, the second set he kept for himself.

But maybe it has an old registration so could be easier to register outside UK? But still a lot of money

Thanks for this link of the rebuild story...it appears they have spent plenty time on it and it's a pity they never finished!

These photos are reminding me my Corse rebuild but fortunately we finished at last over 4 years long!
I like especially some photos with belgian humor!! John, you didn't have a meal on my car with a Breast mask!! Lol

I agree despite the fact they spent a lot of money in this rebuild...it's a bit expensive for an unfinished kit!

I remember from the photo record of the rebuild these guys had a healthy appetite and some great food! Maybe the asking price is to reflect the catering bill....
