You can always tell it’s a Guy Croft engine by the red pint applied to all the important nuts and bolts, I bet you are looking forward to getting fired up.

It looks mega Phil.
Yes was really impressed with Guy's attention to detail... amazing, but if you have served time with Brian Hart on F1 engines this is the standard.
It will be some time before it's fired up but he supplies a fully detailed explanation of how the start up procedure should be done, down to the "Nth" degree !
Once it's been started and run for a while it will be off to Northampton Motorsport.
But first the next big thing engine wise will be an exhaust system but Guy even supplies his own silencers (2) for someone to make the system from !!!
Cheers
Phil
David, I think Phil's already fired up...
That motor looks ace - I particularly like the inlet manifold. Wherever do you get stuff like that these days??
Congrats Phil, hope you've got enough dosh left to buy a round on the Run next month...haha!
That looks ace!
It won't be the most powerful unit that Guy has built.... I believe that would be 16v units around 250/260 BHP NA.
Mine will hopefully be around 200BHP and of course it's only 8v but it will be quite torquey..
It also has lots of parts that Guy has developed over the years specifically for this engine, Pistons, rods, cams, valves, sump (big wing with internal flap doors) etc etc... list is endless.... a real wealth of knowledge on the Lampredi twin cam.
I'll stop ar*e licking now !!...LOL
Cheers
Phil
Phil a*se licking is fully acceptable where appropriate.
Beautiful.
