    Build up insurance

Any ideas where I can get the best build up insurance. For my previous car and the one I am building now I had always used Adrian Flux but it is up for renewal at the end of April and I need to find someone new.
Last year I inquired about build up insurance with AF, but also wanted to insure it if I took it to a show and or to the rolling road and the only way they would cover this was to insure it fully as though it was a complete car. But apparently they will only do this for one year, after that they will only offer build up insurance with no option to add transporting to and from venues on a trailer.

Well that's a bummer. Do they expect you to have the car completed after 12 months?? Bit short-sighted (and not exactly customer-focused either).

Daft suggestion...did you keep all that bubble wrap all the parts came in....because...

Just had a quote from Classic Line insurance who will do what they call "Laid up" cover this includes transportation to and from shows, rolling road and the factory.
Looks like its going to save me a few quid as well

Actually, might investigate this meself, if it covers all that....ta for the heads-up!

Marcus, that's an interesting way of storing bikes that I'd never considered - vertically up against a wall. Must take quite a bit of wheelying experience to get it just right tho!
