    New Member in East Yorkshire

    Good Afternoon,

I've joined the forum this afternoon as I've seen the Hawk/Transformer Stratos on e-bay and was seeking to find any additional details. I've had a good read of the forum earlier and see it's mentioned here a couple of times. I've posted a thread on the main forum asking for help/advice and if anyone has any imput it would be greatly appreciated. Not made an arrangement to see it yet as I don't want to waste anyone's time and wanted to make sure spares/panels etc are available before pursuing things.
I live in East Yorkshire ( interestingly I read in the Hawk thread that a couple had been built not far from here in Wetwang/Driffield - about 40 mins from me!) - I have some other cars, a few classic Porsches ( sold my 356 this week but still have early 911 & 928), Lotus Elise, Alfa SZ Zagato, Abarth 595, Morgan, an original Fiat 500 being restored/rebuilt to Abarth spec' and a few other things and previously owned a "Gallo Ginestra" Integrale - so I'm quite into "something different" and have had a hankering for a Stratos Rep for sometime - an original is a little out of reach !
I've looked at the forum previously and find the content very interesting and comprehensive and as I said I'm keen to find out more - particularly regarding any specialists who could take on a "recommissioning" project if I decide to pursue things.
Forum now saved in my favourites, and I'll check to see if there are any upcoming events where I can see some cars first hand.

    Best Wishes

    Steve

Replied to your other thread, if you want to pop over to Liverpool I've got a Transformer that I've had since 1988 and a Hawk part way through build.

I just posted there too before noticing this...if you want to see a Lister Bell part-built at the same time, giz a shout - I'm in St Helens and we're much more civilised than them there Scousers. Honest.

Thank you both for your replies, I really appreciate your generosity and offers of help - perhaps I can drop you a line if I move forward with the car. Very much appreciated.

Steve, my advice at this stage is 'just go and see the car ASAP' You'll never do as focused research and questioning before seeing one as after. You'll use your time more efficiently.
