    BMW Z3

    Hi All
Sorry it not a mint Strato's Barn find for £10k !

The current Mrs D has just ordered a new car and we don't have room in the garage for this BMW Z3
We have been offered £2000 scrappage value against the new car but it is worth at least double !

so if any would like it for £2000 here is the description...

Before I bought the car I paid to have the history checked. There are no reports of it being written off or any category damage claim.
It is clear on Police records and the mileage seems to appear true.

When I got the car it had paint stripper poured onto every panel and the soft top had 2 “stab” holes in it.
I stripped the car of all bright work and lights etc and had it sprayed in the original colour, I managed to get a really good replacement soft top which I fitted myself using the recommended
Sealant, I also made sure that the drainage holes in the roof sumps were clear.

    I have replaced at -
    Front
    Anti Roll bar Drop Links
Inner and outer track rod ends
Complete radius arm assembly which includes…..
    Lower suspension ball joints
    Inner mounting ball joint
    Lower radius arm rear bushes
    Suspension Coil Springs

    Rear
    Suspension Coil springs
    Shock absorbers
    Anti Roll Bar drop links

    Brakes
    New Discs Front and Rear
New Brake Pads Front and Rear

    General
All electrics on the car work apart from the electric sunroof mechanism, however this is quite easy to put up and down manually.
All gears can be easily selected and the clutch feels really good.
Prior to me getting the car, the engine has just had an oil change with new filter, also new air filter.
The engine fires up first time with no valve rattles, even after it has been ticking over for half an hour, there is good oil pressure and no overheating issues.
I think the battery was replaced just before I got the car….. now new battery Feb 2018
I bought some spare bushes for the rear sub frame but was advised by a local garage that they were not needed. (I also bought the extraction Tool)
All Brake Callipers are free and have been re greased around the slider pins.

    Spares
    Air Filter
    Oil filter
    Set Plugs
    Paint Touch up pen
    Various body clips
2 Rear shock absorbers (used but look ok)
1 Rear spring (used but fairly new)
    Inner Track rod end (New)
    BMW wheel centres (4-used)
    Rear sub Frame Bush Kit (300 333 2902) x 2 (new)
    Rear sub frame mounting bush (300 333 1001) x 2 (new)
    Bush removing tool (new)
    Gearbox poly mounting bush (new)
Original set of alloy wheels (need refurbishment)
New Handbrake shoes (not fitted as the existing ones are ok)

I have photo’s of the car prior to the respray which show the paint stripper and stab damage to the softop.

    BMW Z3 2.8 - 6 cylinder - Wide Body (same as M3)
53,800 miles when purchased now showing 61,800 miles Genuine
    Great engine, smooth.
    Manual Gearbox
    Front Tyres - Falken 235/40 x 18 (Good)
    Rear Tyres - Falken 255/35 x 18 (near limit)
    Rims - Calibre in black
    MOT until May 2019
Currently used as a daily driver by Mrs D
