Nice in a way to see Lancias are finally being recognised as the fabulous cars they always were. In 1975 I went from a 2-litre Vitesse to a Fulvia 1.3 Rallye...lost 700cc and 2bhp, gained elegant looks (the car, not me), four-wheel discs and the ability to go round corners, as well as much kudos - people couldn't believe I had such an upmarket car (this was before the Beta rust problem).
Downside to this recognition is that they're moving well out of reach of ordinary peeps...surprised the Flaminia and the Fanalone don't have a higher estimate. Remember back in 1980 I was offered a Flaminia Touring like the one in the auction for £875, hahaha! But I had my own Fanalone then and was enjoying running rings round various hotted-up Escorts, and very few people at the time knew what a special car that was. Wouldn't mind another, but at the same price I paid for mine, and maybe with a decent heater
