    I actually still think the Alitalia scheme is one of the best, and I'll never knock anyone who goes for it. It just seems a bit too obvious...not so much worrying about being parked next to one exactly the same, more about being a bit more original (if you can apply that term to a replica, or a paint scheme that you're copying )

    All your captions are correct.
    The one with John Whalley and the rear panel open, was a newly built Hawk, bound for Japan in 1997.
    I seem to remember it had 4 stud Image coffin spoke split rims.

    Of course it is! I was fooled by the wheels. They look gold in that photo.
    And yes, I wasn't thinking about the cars on the manufacturers stands at Stoneleigh, just on the club stand.
    In the cars lifetime it isn't going to be parked next to another one a great deal of the time! Worrying about comparison is way down my list of priorities.
