Giro front end - did the giro car have that rear end too?

That large type rear spoiler was used on other events at the time.
    The Targa for one.
Oh, and the TDF, as shown in that photo.

Not sure about the driving lamps but has anyone else noticed that the headlights aren't the pop up type but pods and the rear louvre is a little strange too?

The top lamps are the same as the 1974 year rally car auxiliary pods, but obviously mounted where the headlamp would eventually be.
The front panel may never have had provision for headlamps, so this was the easiest way to add some later?

The top part of the rear louvres is extended to clear the air box, rather than have the whole louvre assembly lifted.
The roof scoop is pre production too, but similar to the scoops on the LWB Le Mans cars.

The rear canopy looks to be the extra wide version. The one that accepted the really wide rear wheels.
The rear louvre is the same as the long wheelbase turbo but doesn't look to be a turbo in this case.

I wondered why the was a mis match between the tub part of the arch and the rear panel arch.

The worst looking works car from this era has to be the 1974 TDF driven by the Stetson wearing Aturo ("Little Art") Merzario.
I wouldn't want a replica of that car.

And I like the LWB car but only with the other front end...

Note the rear wheel arch extensions also to accept the wider wheels.

Sort of round arch plus square arch option.
