New member - advice needed on exterior finish and interior trim

    Hello,

I'd be grateful for a few pieces of advice.

    I see providers producing:

    1. pre polished gelcoat bodies and wondered whether they're good enough to go or if they need finishing off by way of a polish or paint.
    2. interior trim (see attached) which resembling flannel or brushes suede and looks as if it isn't going to last long, where can I find alternatives?

Well PR I cannot comment on a gel coat body but the dash should be ALCANTARA - Italian suede if you will and it is very hard wearing...

Thanks for the swift reply, I am looking to go the rally dash route which prompted thought of alternatives. Perhaps I'll get a ticket to the Silverstone Classic thing tomorrow and look for the odd member to chat to.

I'm at Silverstone too, mine is painted dash with flocked dash top if you would like to compare some different styles

Thank you both for bringing your cars to view, it's helped me to finalise some key decisions.

I look forward to meeting you @ the next event.

    Regards,

    PR

    Hi Paul,

The seats are LB's own, covered in Alcantara.
