    Weld? I dont remember there being any weld on the beta shafts i used on my last car

    I used GKN driveline, they made me two custom shafts, and supplied the joints for around £650. These were made with the strongest material available...
    I supplied them with a couple of old cv's as samples for the size and flange to flange measurements between the wheel & gearbox & they calculated the length of the bars - they havent been fitted yet, but will be soon......

    There are quite a few other companies that make shafts though, depends where you are.
