    steering wheel

    Hi Guys

spotted this on ebay Italy for sale says it is original . What do you think condition wise and price wise should I buy. Take a close look at the center of the wheel where the bolts are it seems to have been butchered a little also check out the depth of the boss. Is it Stratos or just early Fulvia ?.

I have no connection to the seller.

    stay safe everyone.
    regards Kenny

    Hi Kenny,

It's an original Stradale Ferrero, but horribly butchered to fit a larger horn button.
This happens a lot with original Stradale steering wheels, because of the very small and unique 41mm horn button hole.
That's by far the most ham fisted job I've seen yet of enlarging the horn button hole.
I would think £150 to £200 is plenty, given the damage?
The shipping situation can't be good at this time.

    Hi Kenny,
Are you not just better off with one of Gerry's reproduction wheels?
Not sure on the price but comparatively they must be better value?

I got this a while ago, as well as another same diameter wheel to donate some leather trim:

    Re: steering wheel

just out of interest, what's the PCD on the replica wheels (75mm?) and if I wanted to get one onto my Alfa steering column, any thoughts on best way to do it - I currently have a Momo adapter for a Sparco 70mm PCD wheel. Eg are there 75mm available anywhere or on my own to make something up (eg tap new set of holes into the Momo adapter).

Other question - does anyone know what the dish depth measurement is on these wheels?

    Regards
    Paul
