I'd imagine there are very small gains to be had given it’s aluminium. The crank, flywheel, cams and pulleys are by far the heaviest parts I think.

I would be interested to know what you could get out of an Alfa block.
I am assuming there is less need the more modern the engine due to casting quality and FEA to reduce costs and material use.
