Possibly the ex David May Corse I.
It changed hands a year or two back.
    Registered in Italy.

    Re: For Sale - Italy

David May's car was white/green with Stradale arches, then red with round arches and gold coffin spokes, but little offset on the rear.
Then, late Alitalia colour scheme with the same round arches and a bit more offset on the (now yellow) coffin spokes.
David May's car also had non X1/9 'pull up' door handles, which can be seen on all of the above.

This car for sale on subito, has a different number plate to the ex David May car.
The steering wheel is distinctive and the triple screen/dash vents too. Does anyone know if David May's car had these features?

David's car had quite a few unique features, but can't recall the dash vents. That territory is definitely yours Chris!

    This one....
    Yes it is.
    One of Lionels last stands.
It was actually the first chassis built in Frome.
I actually made that left hand dash mouldings.
You can just see the chunky adjustable tca's on the front too.
Only car that ever had them I think
Someone has messed with the front top coil over mounts, and judging from the condition of the AVO's and other components on show it's clearly not done a lot of kilometres.
If I'm not mistaken this is also the car which "dissappeared" for a time when being taken through IVA somewhere in the UK.

Do you think they had two paint shops doing the work, but failed to give adequate instructions?

This is the car that was parked in the lounge of an unused house in Swansea in mid 2011 next to my part built (! see the tales) Corse I.
I think I have more photos of it if anyone wants me to post them. It was a 24v from memory
I was told that car belonged to Carlo(?) and had to sit in the UK for a while before going to Italy.
Something to do with being UK registered for a number(?) of years before being allowed to be re-registered in Italy

I don't know about the dash vents and the steering wheel John, but the door handles, the rear arches and the different number plate make me think that this is not the same car.
If you search for the David May car's number plate, there's a photo of an Alitalia car with round arches comes up, which does have the unique outer door handles.
