I think you actually mean Gary Midwinter but I assume by 1993 with the white livery and "Living Design" sponsor then it was Bernie Rooney at the wheel.
Gary Lomas was the builder and driver of three different Corse S Stradale bodied replicas over the years, Alitalia with blue stripes, Martini & finally the Olio Fiat version.

I knew it would one of you two that knew who it was.

A couple of years earlier on the same event, Martin Kift had some,... erm, problems, in his Hawk.

    This car?:

I wonder what the car in the background is?

I did have that magazine article with Bernard Rooney (Honda engined 'I' and white) and Neil's first Corse (S), but David Watson got it.

I have it as a pdf if you want it. I think I downloaded it from Neil's web site.

    That's the one Craig.

There's another example of channeling the air from the gap between the roof wing and the top of the car?

I didn't know the registration, so yes that's the car.
I thought Gary Lomas solely on the basis of it being Cadwell!
I didnt think Bernie and Hugh ventured that far south because they were doing some Scottish championship, I believe.
