I'm more familiar with 1990 onwards chassis' Peter.
The only earlier one I had, was fitted with a Honda V6, so any Beta-ness was long gone.

More often than not, they used those big round Ford Cortina rubber mounts on the diff. and gearbox mount.
I've got a Beta diff mount on the engine at the moment, which is what Tom had on his Allora.
