Following on from the other post about M3 ITBs on replicas I was looking at OE setups on original cars - which are tripe carbs rather than ITBs and I noticed a couple of different setups.

This one where the carbs sit 'perpendicular' across the V in the engine

And this one where the carbs are angled slightly. This is the Alfaholics car (pre restoration).

So why the different setups? Is is because the Alfaholics car was built as a narrow body (non-GP4 spec) and later converted to GP4? Did the stradale have different carbs / setup?
