I suppose he can live with the Miura's inflammatory tendencies because he's installed a special system to combat them. An inbuilt handling flaw (or advantage - depends if your name is Munari or Waldegaard or not) is probably more difficult to overcome. I've not enough experience of original cars so I don't know if the supposed twitchiness can be dialled out.
Funnily enough, it used to be that I'd have worked a modicum of overtime to own a genuine car. But these last 10 or 15 years, not so much...sure they're great, but they're also old tech and you can do better, which is why I went for an LB. Also why I really like restomods. So I "get" why he didn't want the Real McCoy, but I also get why for some only the genuine article is acceptable. Good job we're inclusive on here innit!
