    New Lotus Emira

This is actually a really good looking car...................last of the small engine petrol cars by Lotus. This is posted by someone who still wants a Lotus Esprit Turbo.

Also an engine option is an AMG developed V6 Supercharged Engine at 360BHP...........

    2 engine/trans choices

V6 SC Toyota (from the current range of cars) mated to a 6 speed manual
AMG 4 pot turbo (from the A45) with double clutch box (paddles etc.)

    Er, no it isn't.

And technically, there are 3 Engine/trans choices.

4 pot AMG turbo and double clutch auto
6 pot Toyota Supercharged with manual or auto (single clutch).

A lot of car for £60k

I probably should have made things a little clearer. I was referring to Andy's link in post No.2. The yellow Evija that has been doing the publicity rounds.

It will be good to see it physically. I thought it looked quite tall from the photo of the roof line. I've had 3 Elises and the big draw for me was the basic convertible aspect of them of just whipping the roof off and throwing it in the boot. I can't remember driving any of them with the roof up so that in itself would make me look a bit wider if I was in the market for something similar.

I've also had 3 Esprits (I think you get a lot of bang for your buck with Lotus) and would have another S3 Turbo in a heartbeat. A V8 or GT3, not so much.
