Until there is a very significant investment into the generation of green H2, burning it in an ICE is way worse than using the oil directly, apart from local air pollution (which can be mitigated). It’s also important to remember that an H2 ICE still needs to deal with NOX and that they are shockingly inefficient.
Raises good points about the unsuitability of batteries for that kind of application though.
I think ‘we” are going to have to change how we do things myself. Life is going to get less convenient and more expensive I suspect.
