FWIW - I did meet Roger Albert once when he handed me 3 bottles of champagne - the prize for successfully guessing the power increase of a car (probably an Escort) on the new rolling road installation at TC Harrison in Barnsley (I think it was). That was way back in about 1971 when I was an active member of the Sheffield Students Motor Club. (Incidentally 2 other Club members got the second and third prizes of respectively 2 bottles and 1 bottle of champagne. That was quite a party later as I recall !)
And Jerry has retired:- "Mechanical problems after car fire - SS4"

Presumably 'mechanical problems' means there was no interior/ glass / anything else useful left!
