Just got back from a wonderful weekend in North Yorkshire and the very lovely Dunsley Hall Hotel, a couple of miles out from Whitby.
A great turnout with 5 Strats in attendance. We saw some heavy showers, so the Club shower covers came into their own. The sun did make an occasional appearance as did a few hail stones on our drive out to Pickering. It did nothing to dampen the spirits though and that included those consumed in the bar and lounge during the frequent socialising.....
Thanks to David and Pat for, again, organising a special Club weekend!
    Cheers!
    Ade and June

We are back home too, great weekend, even the weather didn't dampen our spirits. Great route again and also a great turnout of cars....
Many thanks to David and Pat for organising another really good tour.
Thanks to all that attended for their company throughout the weekend
    Cheers Phil and Helen

    David & Pat,

Many, many thanks for organising such a great weekend for us, great route for the run in wonderful north Yorks, even though the weather was somewhat inclement, the views were spectacular, and the company great.

We arrived back home after a long drive with miles of roadworks and heavy traffic but had such a fabulous long weekend it didn’t matter. Thanks to David and Pat for once again organising a great venue and planning an interesting route for the run. It was great meeting up with old friends and to meet some new faces. The weather could have been kinder but it didn't spoil anything although Julie was slightly unhappy with the small waterfall entering through the car window during the heavy rain. I am already looking forward to the next time.

Well what can I add to those comments.....perhaps "it was bloody awful", "miserable bunch of gits" and "not bleeding Yorkshire again" spring to mind. Except they wouldn't be true and it was great, even though I was on my own and didn't have a Stratos. I actually think I made a good decision to go in the Defender, so no worries regarding the weather, crumbly roads and even the small river running down one stretch!
Good to see/meet everyone, the bad-tempered waitress from last time was nowhere to be seen and overall, a 5-star do - many thanks to Pat and David for pulling it together. I can't understand why more peeps don't give it a go!
Looking forward to the Northern Run round Northumberland and the Borders in September, details of which can be found in the "Events" section. No idea of the route yet but it's hard to go wrong round that area!

ID:	22873This is my carp excuse for not being with you, much as I wanted to be there, I didn't fancy pushing the car on it's front wheels & making brum brum noises
Sounds like a brilliant trip, very jealous!
