Hi.
I need to change my Euro spec headlights for UK versions (don't want to use the stickers). Are these the correct ones - or is there a better alternative?

Thanks.

Those are Wipac Quadoptic Justin. I know that Guy Mayers uses those in his Hawk, but I don't know if Guy has X1/9/OE Stratos headlamp nests now?
I've definitely fitted Cibie H4 7" headlamp units to the OE Stratos headlamp nests.
You can still find the RHD version of the LHD OE Stratos Carello 7" headlamp units, if you're very patient. I've got some.

I have the X1/9 nests with the Wipac Quadoptics fitted. Mine have the sidelight option as my headlights are always up. Straight swap. If I need extra light then there's the four Megaluxes in the pod....
If you can find a Fiat X1/9 headlight in RHD format and good condition that's the one to go for. It may be possible to find a pair in not so good condition and have the reflectors remade/resilvered if originality is an issue/concern. I may have one in my spares box that you're welcome to. Drop me a PM if that's any help and I'll post it off to you.
Guy
I didn't know that that was possible Guy.
I too have some of the same, with less than perfect reflectors. I've got one very good (Carello 05.485.700) and two that are not so good.
This is an original Lancia Stratos headlamp on eBay LHD obviously Carello No. 03.485.700
The RHD version of that is 05.485.700, but there are versions of this with special Alfa fittings that are different to the Stratos/X1/9 fittings. The fittings should be like the one on eBay above. Make sure the fittings are correct, if buying.
Cibie H4 RHD at Moss
I don't know if there are any other suppliers?
Thanks all for your replies and suggestions. I think I need to pop a light out to exactly see what is behind. I know that my lights are also in the permanently raised position, so they may have had other things done to them at some stage.
I'll update with what I find.
Thanks,
Justin.
