One cam cover end cap missing, and whats with the twin gear selectors??

Me too Chris, I have tried to look at the back of the engine, starter side, but can't lighten the photo at the moment, to see if the cast letter is A, B, C, or D. The correct letter would indicate a Stratos block. Sat for 40 years I would expect to have to tear it down again to replace degraded seals and rubbers. I wonder which Stratos it came from and if it's still extant? I would think it might be attractive to the owner of that car to reunite them but the Italians aren't anal about "matching numbers", just the correct engine!
