Second year running I can't make it! Sorry Phil. I'll be at Gerry's that weekend and may pop into the NEC Restoration show on the way South...
Phil
I may be able to make it, possibly with new exhaust! Steve
Phil
Craig and Lydia picked up my car today for the rear clip hinge modification and the new exhaust.
I hope to pick the car up Saturday morning - all being well -and drive to you
PS we are not a castle, we are the animal house of a big house that is now gone.
We found the black and white cupola on a scrap heap

Apparently it was built to go on the roof of the Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton, but when it was delivered either the builder said "too heavy" or the owner said "how much ?" and it got sent away and has been kicking around Skipton for about 15 years
Our house is the stable block completed in 1907.

Totally OT as far as garage day goes but...
We sold our house just over a year ago. It was the main farmhouse for what had been a significantly large farm and was built around 1850. We got a call from a 90-odd year old lady who asked (very politely) if she could come to view it even tho she couldn't buy it because her family had worked on the farm in her youth and she and her sister had been born in the house in what was now our kitchen. She came and had a great time!! She was pointing out where all the old walls had been, where the servants lived in the attic and how the layout had all changed. She had ancient black and white photos of the house and grounds and farm. We found out that cows used to be milked in the laundry, that turkeys used to live in part of the front garden and that peacocks used to roam around... sometimes inside! It was a nice afternoon.
And back to cars....
