    mobile phone bracket

Has anyone got any good suggestions of fixing a phone in the car.
I want it in the centre of the car so both driver and passenger can see/adjust google maps.
I have a long arm with a sucker on the end attached to the screen but it wobbles about a lot and pretty much always gets knocked by my wife's handbag.
I dont want to start drilling the dashboard or anything as it is covered with Alcantara.

I was impressed you can get your wife in the car. Mine sat in the driver seat and announced she couldn't see the road over the dashboard so wasn't going to get in it again

    Mind you,

I cut the sucker off the end and got to work with a Dremel and a drill. 2 bolts and nuts at the bottom and a zip tie to help with the bending load
Sorry don't know why the image is 90 degree rotated. It is fine when I look at it. I think the forum puts images in landscape mode even if they are in portrait

I have tried several, until I found this

    https://www.quadlockcase.co.uk/collections/shop-car

They do a Quadlock mag that also charger, or the original Quadlock that has a quick release twist to secure it. For the car I used the self adhesive mount I also use the armband for running, very secure. Not cheap as you have to use their phone case but highly recommended.

I'm not going to make the expected reply for once, but I'll point out that if Herself's handbag keeps knocking the arm, maybe you need a handbag holder instead

    Re: mobile phone bracket

I had some bits lying around and needed a quick soloution as per image. USB power feed cable comes in from left of photo. Spring-loaded phone clamp off ebay came with 3/8" camera mount threaded hole. This allows a threaded bolt and copper pipe spacer to bring the phone forward a touch. I'm about to move the clamp up a hole or two as the indicator
stalk currently obscures the screen too much. Photos also show after adjustment with phone in place. Stalks less of an issue when phone is vertical.
