Just returned from the Laon Historique Rally. A wet start at Dunkirk with a visit to the Operation Dynamo museum, soon shook off the rain with a sunny 5 hour drive on the back roads to Laon.
Rest day Friday with Paul H cleaning our wheels.
Saturday saw a 100km rally to Circuit de Chimay in Belgium using tulip books. Got lost a few times and interacted with very friendly locals. Well done gang on the navigation, it certainly wasnt down to me!
Sunday closed roads in Laon to a very bright day and huge crowds lining the 6km route.
Monday saw us visiting the local attractions in the town.
Thanks you to Paul & Ian H, Dave E, Justin (Gog) and Max R for making a very memorable trip to France.
A highly recomended, superbly organised event with yearly between 650 and 900 cars.
Tom
