Grange over Sands show 11th Aug 2024

Tree and I drove up to Grange over Sands show early Sunday morning from Skipton.
it was a very good show.
5 different people came up and asked if we "knew" the white car in Ulverston.
One of them said say hello to Richard (i think his name was Malcolm)
Nice drive home on Monday via Windemere and Tebay services

The Grange show was always a good one - haven't been for years!

The white car in Ulverston belongs to Reg Barker, it's a Litton with a 12v Busso - the car that ignited the Stratos flame for me when I was about 8. Reg built the car in the late 1980s and it's still in regular use.

Malcolm is most likely Malcolm Grisdale who used to be chief marshal (I think) for the Grizedale Stages Rally. He's a good pal of Reg's and has had a variety of rally cars, from a Lotus Sunbeam, to various Escorts. Currently has an early Midget, among other things!

Thanks. Your Stratos journey matches exactly what he told us about you. Nothing else though!!....

I entered to go to the Grange show the last time Norms do stayed at the Damson Dean as it coincided with the last day, but from memory the day was not looking good and the thought of the M6 in fowl weather late on a Sunday afternoon was not attractive, Grange didn?t see us that day, but we had parked outside the Windermere Cafe on the terrace by the Ducks on the Friday before.
