There was a Blue aluminium 289 for sale too but that has sold very very quickly. First person to come to see it just had to check it'd fit the garage (it does) and it was snapped up. Quality sells.
Sadly, Gerrys state of health means he can't get into the Jaguar any more and needs to sell it. The two Stratos for sale need to go to fund the final developments of the Classico chassis and pay for the completion of the first demonstrator and the two tin cars currently under build.
I drove all three to set up the adverts, the red Stradale is freshly MOT'd and is a lovely car but a chassis that is an earlier model than the Safari car so it's time to move both on. Gerry really wants to keep the Giro d'Italia version as it's a personal favourite. That may change when the tin cars are done though. The Safari car is a really really fast car, it took me by surprise with it's 3.2 GTA motor and Omex system setup on the Michelin tyres. Just grips, squats and disappears. No fuss. As soon as the Lancia Beta restoration is done I'll be putting a 24v motor in mine on Omex too. It won't be quite as quick.
I can recommend either car to anyone seriously looking for one right now.
