Morecambe vintage weekend 30/31 Aug and 1st sept 2024

Tree and I drove up to Morecambe Sunday morning.
Lots of cars and the rain stayed away which was good.
We stayed the night in the Midland hotel. Nice hotel, but food very average for a 4 star hotel.
Went to the car in the morning to leave and an elderly gent came up and said.
"Did you come last year, I hoped you would come again this year and have been waiting for you. This picture has been on the wall of my office since 1979 and I wanted you to have it".
He then explained that in 1979 the route was reversed ( I dont know anything about this so cannot comment).
Anyway it was a lovely gesture, especially as it was raining and the picture is in a nice frame.
