Having just completed 2500 miles around the Swiss Alps, many long days, one drive of 14hrs straight (bar the ferry) I can guarantee it will be worth the wait .

I wonder if anyone was in the boot - just in case some of you have not seen Tim get in the boot and shut the lid - one less passenger fare to pay and one less passport to deal with at border crossings!
