It was a fantastic trip, 2500 miles over seven days, 400ml of oil used (some of it on the floor due to sump gasket giving up after 140 thou miles!) Fuel consumption seemed to be in the very high thirties, easy 230 mile tank range with 43ltr capacity.
Only mild ache in right foot after the first 14 hour day, Doncaster to Verdun, with throttle foot having to stay in the same position my foot got bored! The rest of the car was super comfortable, no aches or pains whatsoever, pretty much the best grand tourer I have ever driven... nice & warm too.
The car was epic in the big hills, especially on the descents, the stock Alfa 156 brake set up was superb. (having the Willwood bias valve cranking up the rears was very helpful!)
We also got ALL the weather, arriving in Switzerland, Lake Brienze, in sunshine, dipping stinky feet in the lake & supping cold beer, to leaving Via St Moritz in three inches of snow & that was before we hit the passes!
Nothing fell off, nothing caught fire, found a loose self tapper on a door bin though but that's what you get with a teenager slamming the door!
We even had music (Matt Monroe... briefly & plenty of Hendrix) via Jacobs Witch Craft speaker thing & i phone do hicky, almost could hear it over the Busso music!
I tried to add some pictures but the phone pics seem too big, I will try again., Jacob will also add some more video's to the youtube.
