Hello from South America

Hello all,

My name is Jorge, I live in Asuncion, Paraguay (South America) and I decided to become a full member of the Forum (I've been reading you for years through the free area...) after being accepted, thanks to Guy and Kenny from Hawk Cars Ltd, on "The Hope List" to buy a Stratos kit in the future..

I hope for help from everyone, especially from those more knowledgeable and experienced in the Forum to complete this difficult project, since it is impossible to get spare parts or people with experience in this around here.

Jorge, welcome to the forum, great to have you as a full member. There is lots of information in the build threads that as a full member you have access to, and if you have any questions at all, just ask and I am sure somebody will post the answer.

When your name get to the top of the list we'll sort out as much of the parts that you'll need Jorge, in the meantime can I suggest that you check with your local authorities that an amateur built car can be registered for use on the roads of Paraguay? And can you find an Alfa Romeo donor car there?

Hi Guy,
Yes, thank God, there are some Alfa Romeo 164s that can serve as donors (regarding the engine and gearbox...), my concern is the donor parts from other cars such as the Fiat X1/9 or the Fiat Dino (cars that are not available here...) or the exclusive parts from the Stratos...
With regard to local legislation for the free circulation of a kit car, it is something that I have to find out (I have seen a Cobra and also a GT-40 circulating there...).
