Well done you Dave! Best wishes for; your training, the run and your fundraising.....
For some reason I couldn't get the 2nd link above to work, but original does from 1st post in case anyone is having trouble in supporting Dave with a donation.
    Cheers!

    Hi Adrian,

Thank you for your donation and the heads up on the link, it should be working again now.
It seems you can't just copy the link again from the original post, I had to go to the page and copy it at source.

    All the best
    Dave

    Re: London Marathon 2nd attempt

A quick update on my upcoming attempt to complete the 2025 London Marathon. As mentioned I will be running to support the Bone Cancer Research Trust (BCRT) in particular for Freddies Future.

It hasn’t been the easiest of journeys, having picked up an Achilles Tendinitis injury at the end of November which prevented me from running for the first 12 weeks of my 18 week plan!
Not an uncommon injury for runners, but one that takes time to heal with Physiotherapy and various exercises.

I was however able to speed up the process with the help of the Banbury Physiotherapy who also support the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
Banbury Physiotherapy offered a complimentary course of Modular Shockwave therapy along with a tailored exercise plan to get me back training as soon as possible.

As far as training is going I completed my last long "ish" training run yesterday

Thank you so much to those that have already donated, if anyone else would like to donate then please visit my Just Giving page:

    Dave,
    1. take water and/or feed at every feeding station, particularly early on, otherwise you'll get dehydrated and never recover.
    2. Be prepared to avoid people in the first three miles, who stop having done no training, and thought they were going to run 2:30
    3. Be vary careful at 20 miles when you go back under Tower Bridge, the artificial grass on the paving stones can be lethal if its wet.

    best of luck, Griff

    Thanks for the tips Griff.
I'll be taking it steady, having missed a big proportion of the training.

Or, do what I do when going for a run - do it in a car

However, I suspect you'll ignore my advice and do it using muscle power alone. In which case, good luck, and hope you get round OK.....and don't forget there's always cheating
